Some people like tea with spices so I prepared a few of them that are commonly used in teas.

You can find turmeric in a variety of mixtures of spices like curry. People from the far east use it daily in their food and drinks, where turmeric is home. Arab traders probably brought turmeric in Europe.

According to traditional Eastern medicine, there are many healing effects of turmeric. It cleans the blood and digestive system, helps with the liver and gallbladder problems, and hepatitis.
Turmeric contains a substance called curcumin, which acts as a stimulant for the liver and gallbladder that are responsible for the secretion of bilirubin and cholesterol.
The secretion of these substances decreases over the years, which reduces the absorption of nutrients, which are soluble in fats.
Turmeric also protects the liver against poisons and chemicals.
It is effective in the treatment of viral hepatitis, improves the secretion of protective substances in the stomach and protects the stomach wall.
Turmeric tea
Curcumin tea is a great way to enjoy its benefits every day. If you drink it at bedtime, it helps with relaxation and strengthens the immune system while you sleep. You need:
- coconut milk – 2 cups
- turmeric – 1 teaspoon
- cinnamon – 1/2 teaspoon
- honey or maple syrup – 1 teaspoon
- black pepper – 1 pinch
- ginger – a piece of fresh root or 1/4 teaspoon of ginger powder
- cayenne pepper – 1 pinch, optionally
Mix all the ingredients in a mixer at high speed until it has a smooth texture.
Pour it in a container and heat it for 3-5 minutes on low heat. The drink should be hot, but shouldn’t boil. Drink immediately.
Cinnamon
Cinnamon is a winter spice, which helps to alleviate many health problems, which occur mainly in winter. So cinnamon is excellent preventive medicine against colds and flu.
Hot drink with cinnamon stimulates blood circulation and promotes sweating, which is welcome when having a fever.
Cinnamon also helps in influenza and respiratory infections. Inhalation with cinnamon essential oil is recommended for patients with respiratory issues.
Cinnamon helps those who already have a cold. It eliminates symptoms like inflamed nasal mucosa and fatigue.
People are often without energy in winter and cinnamon can help them. It helps to relieve fatigue, increases blood circulation in the body and prevents sadness.

Cinnamon tea
Prepare a cinnamon tea taking a half teaspoon of cinnamon powder and add it in the boiling water.
To eliminate bad breath, mix it with the cold water and use the mixture for rinsing the mouth.
Note: The two most common types of cinnamon are Ceylon and Chinese. Both contain coumarin – a substance that will burden the liver and kidneys if you consume cinnamon in excessive quantities.
The maximum permitted daily amount of cinnamon is 4.5 grams, which is about two teaspoons.
Cloves
Do you know cloves, which inspired the discovery of the New World? Ordinary people and spice traders appreciated cloves even before the great explorers.
Did you know that cloves were paid in gold in England in the 17 and 18 century?
Thus, at least a pound of gold had to be paid for a pound of this spice. In wintertime, we like to add cloves in the food and drinks.
Health benefits
Healers quickly realize the positive effects of cloves. They were used against intestinal parasites, for liver treatment, kidney, stomach ulcers, and inflammation in the oral cavity.
Cloves have a strong analgesic effect and you can successfully calm the painful tooth or headache.
When you chew cloves, its essential oil will work for a longer time on the entire oral cavity and will penetrate into the Eustachian tube.
Cloves also cure otitis media and even deafness. Chewing cloves (1-3 a day) is much more beneficial for your teeth than chewing gum.
Cloves tea
Cloves can be safely used in dilute forms, which are beneficial for the throat and gastrointestinal tract.
Add a tablespoon of crushed cloves (8 to 10 g) in 2 l of cold water, boil it and cook covered for 2 minutes.
Then put the container from the heat and wait for 15 minutes so cloves can develop flavor.
You will get a very strong water extract of cloves, which you can strain, pour into the bottle and store it in the refrigerator for 1 month.
Use it as a mouthwash (dilute it with water or tea in the ratio 1:4) and gargle it in case of throat problems or use it in wine, tea, and biscuits.
Tang Drink
Do you know what is a Tang drink? I am sure you do, but in case you don’t know, I will tell you.
It is a highly energetic fruit-flavored powder drink. The drink became popular when NASA astronauts started to drink it.
It is recommended that you use two tablespoons of Tang powder for 240 ml of water. It is a non-caffeine beverage that contains sugar, vitamins C, A and E, riboflavin, calcium, vitamin B6, and niacin.
Great in summer
You can make a spiced tea with Tang which is a good alternative for a cold drink in the summer.
Make the beverage after the manufacturer’s instructions and prepare a spiced drink that I mentioned before. Mix them together and cool it down. You can also add a lemon or other fruit in the mixture.
Tang has more than 50 flavors from which you can choose from, so it is not hard to make your perfect drink.
